Frequently Asked Questions
Q - Why does the store require me to enter my EVE username and password?
A - Our online store uses CCP's SSO authentication, any authentication with a username or password happens on the official eve domain and if enabled requires two-factor authentication.
You will never be asked for a username or password while browsing our online store, if something looks suspicious immediately notify us.
Q - I am not able to add a specific item to my shopping cart, FC what do?
A - The item that you are trying to add is currently not available at the Jita tradehub, be that because lack of stock or being removed from EVE Online universe.
Q - Do you source items from places other than Jita?
A - No, most items will be cheaper and more readily available at the Jita tradehub.
Q - Can I purchase items myself and have you courier them?
A - No, we suggest you look into using one of the many freight services available.
Q - Why is there is a 10% security deposit? This looks like a scam.
A - The security deposit protects EVE Merchants brokers from sourcing items and ending up with an order that is not honoured by a capsuleer.
A security deposit will only become non-refundable once the items start being sourced. Your security deposit will be returned if the order is either not completed by EVE Merchants or canceled before sourcing begins.
Q - Can I cancel my order at anytime?
A - Yes, you are able to cancel at any time, however the security deposit becomes non-refundable once the items start being sourced. For more information see the previous question.
Q - How do you know that I transfered any isk?
A - Using the EVE Online API we are able to programmatically check any transactions that occur on the holding corporation's wallet(s), this information tells us who and how much was transfered.
Q - I did not transfer enough isk for the security deposit, how do I correct this?
A - Our online store works on a credit system, once our systems indicate a transfer of isk from your character, it assigns that amount as a credit to your profile.
An insufficient credit balance can be corrected it by making additional transfers until your profile is credited with enough isk to cover the security deposit.
Q - How do I fix transferring too much isk?
A - Any credits above and beyond covering a security deposit will always be available on your profile until it is used to cover another deposit.
Excess credits can be refunded directly to your capsuleer by requesting it from your store profile.
Q - What is the difference between an estimated amount and a purchase amount?
A - Upon checkout you will be provided with an estimated amount, this amount is what the total of your shopping cart is valued at Jita sell price at the current moment.
The purchase amount is the cost at the time of sourcing your items, the price of items are ever changing and the threat of market manipulation is ever present.
If detected that an item is potentially being manipulated you will be notified and may choose to continue, remove the item or cancel the order.
Q - How do you make isk from this?
A - Broker's fee is added to every order based on the purchase cost of the order. If the cost is above 300m isk, a standard percentage of 7.5% is added. Alternatively a flat rate charge of 20m isk is added.
Q - What is the estimated delivery time?
A - Dependant on sourcing of the items, your order will be delivered no later than 48 hours after it has been packaged and picked up by the couriers.
