This page lists the cookies and other data Capsuleers.app stores in your browser, why and for how long, and how you can manage them. Google analytics cookies are only turned on if you accept them in the banner: until you do, the site does not contact Google for statistics.
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser to remember information from one page to the next, such as your sign-in or language. Besides cookies, the site uses browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB) to remember settings and tool state: that is described here too.
They are needed for the site to work or to remember a choice you made, and do not require consent. All are first-party capsuleers.app cookies:
Browser storage, kept until you clear it: tool display preferences (capsuleers_user_prefs_v1), haul and industry planner settings (cap_haul_v2, capsuleers_industry_v1, capsuleers_industry_sections_v1, capsuleers_industry_projects_v1), alliances followed in sov timers (cap_sov_watch_v1), the open or closed state of map legends and panels (cap_map_legend_*, cap_scan_map_mode, cap_fight_dock_v1), how many times you postponed the notification prompt (cap_push_ask_v1). If you turn on notifications, the browser registers a service worker and the site keeps your last 50 notifications in IndexedDB (capsuleers-push); the service worker also keeps a cache of public images and data to speed up the site.
Turned on only after you consent in the banner. They measure site usage in aggregate (page views, tool opens, route calculations) through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. The only things attached to events are your site role and language: no game data (characters, corporations, alliances, killmails, mail) is ever sent. Until you accept, Google's script is not loaded at all.
Provider: Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4), cookies _ga and _ga_*. Data retention according to the property setting, at most 14 months. With analytics consent the site also stores, for the lifetime of the tab only, a marker in sessionStorage (capsuleers_pending_login) to count successful sign-ins.
We do not use marketing or ad-profiling cookies and no advertising tag is configured. The banner still shows the category because Google Consent Mode v2 requires ads consent to be given separately.
You can change your choice at any time with the button below or with "Manage Cookies" at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent stops collection from the next page. You can also delete the site's cookies and data from your browser settings: technical cookies are needed for sign-in, though, and without them the features for signed-in users are not available.
Some pages embed content from other services, which may store their own cookies under their own rules:
Game images come from images.evetech.net and eve-kill.com, which receive your browser's IP address like any site an image is downloaded from.
For sign-in and account linking we use three OAuth services: Fenris Creations / EVE Online (main sign-in and character linking), Discord (optional sign-in and linking) and Twitch (channel linking). When you are redirected to these services, they set their own cookies on their own domain, under their privacy notices: eveonline.com/privacy-policy, discord.com/privacy, twitch.tv/p/legal/privacy-notice.
This policy may be updated when the cookies or tools used by the site change. The date of the last update is at the top of the page.
