Premise2; The louder somebody gets about a subject, the less he wants to learn anything new: Especially if the information may tend to modify his position.
Premise3; The truth potentially hurts only if you fail to think it all the way through. If you fail to take a thought to its ultimate conclusion, you might as well have not thought at all.
Conclusion: There is no percentage in being an obtuse ignoramus.
