Jita is the most honest place in New Eden. Not because the people there are honest — they are not, and I am not — but because the volume of transactions produces a record that cannot be falsified at scale. What people actually want, actually fear, actually value — it is all there, priced to the ISK, updated by the second. I have operated out of Jita for long enough that the station feels less like a location than a methodology.
I hold a Blood Raider Covenant credential that gives me legitimate access to Caldari space including Jita 4-4. The Blood Raiders have been paying for my presence in Jita longer than they have understood what my presence in Jita is. I use that presence to manage Sariel's Reclaimed's procurement, sales, and ISK flow.
A contact inside the hierarchy told me about the document. A sixty-three-year-old text recovered from an unidentifiable wreck, classified at maximum level, containing the name of a capsuleer who had not yet been born when it was written. Stolen by a Priestess who then walked out of the faith entirely. I understood immediately what that meant: whoever held that document held leverage over the Blood Raiders that no diplomatic credential, no back-channel arrangement, no carefully maintained relationship could replicate. Leverage of that quality does not stay in one place for long. I arranged a meeting before the hierarchy decided to do something irreversible about her.
I gave her everything I had on the Blood Raiders' internal response to her departure — who was afraid, who was angry, what they were planning and in what order. She gave me enough of the document to understand why they were afraid. I have been managing the corp's financial operations since. The arrangement has a projected lifespan I am the one tracking.
