our scanner showed signs of radiation being emitted by the structure.
just as we reallized that it could some kind of ancient stargate, our scanners detected a massive increase in radition and a light, brighter than 1000 stars forced our optical sensors to shut down.

we heard his voice in our minds.
visions of death and destruction tortured us.
we shivered in pain and agony but in the end...we did understand.
