See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, so will your name and descendants endure.

Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them.

But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too

even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you.

And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.

For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like those condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to human beings.
