The jump range calculator on Capsuleers.app computes in real time every system reachable in a single jump from a chosen origin. Select the ship class (Jump Freighter, Jump Capable Industrial, Dreadnought, Carrier, Force Auxiliary, Supercarrier, Titan, Black Ops) and JDC skill level; the tool intersects that with the jumpable-system graph and returns the list of targets with distance in light years, security status, region and constellation.

The result is rendered both as a list and as a 3D overlay of the EVE Online cluster, so you can read the range bubble around the origin at a glance. The calculation leans on the spatial indices pre-built by the SDE layer of Capsuleers.app to serve range queries up to the Black Ops limit without performance degradation.

It's useful to plan a cyno chain, evaluate a capital fleet deployment, optimise a Jump Freighter route or estimate the bridge range of a Black Ops before a hot drop. Covering every jump-capable ship class in one tool, it complements the jump planner, which instead chains multiple jumps with reactor recharges in between. Works without login.

Everything in jump range, on one map

Pick a system, a hull class and your Jump Drive Calibration level, and the calculator returns every system your drive can reach in a single jump, drawn on a tactical map rather than listed as a table.

That framing is the point. A list of ninety system names does not tell you whether a target is covered from your staging system, or which direction your range runs out in. A map does, at a glance.

The view switches between a rotatable three-dimensional camera and a flat top-down projection, and expands to fill the screen. Systems in range are full nodes, everything else is context.

Range by hull and skill level

Maximum range is the hull's base range multiplied by one plus twenty percent per level of Jump Drive Calibration, so at level five it is exactly double the base.

  • Dreadnought, Carrier, Force Auxiliary, Supercarrier: 3.5 LY base, 7.0 LY at Jump Drive Calibration V
  • Titan: 3.0 LY base, 6.0 LY at Jump Drive Calibration V
  • Jump freighters and Rorqual: 5.0 LY base, 10.0 LY at Jump Drive Calibration V
  • Black Ops: 4.0 LY base, 8.0 LY at Jump Drive Calibration V

Reading the map

The marks follow the in-game map rather than inventing their own vocabulary. The alliance holding sovereignty appears as its logo inside the system node, the security value sits next to the system name in its own colour, and the origin is outlined with a diamond.

Systems in range are drawn as full nodes whatever their distance, deliberately: on this tool a full node means you can jump there, and giving the same mark to unreachable systems would erase the only thing the page answers. Context systems nearby stay as neutral dots and gain their names as you zoom in.

Kill activity inside your range

Each system carries its recent kill activity, so the coverage map is also a threat map. A system inside your range with a four-digit kill count this week is a very different proposition from a quiet one at the same distance.

You can switch between ship kills and NPC kills. Ship kills is the default, because in nullsec the rat kill count is four digits almost everywhere and an NPC-first map opens fully covered, which signals nothing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between this and the jump planner?

This one answers what can I reach from here in one jump. The jump planner answers how do I get from here to there, across as many jumps and stargates as it takes. Use the range calculator to choose a staging system, then the planner to move.

Does it account for jump fatigue?

No. Range is a property of the hull and the skill, and it does not change with fatigue: fatigue limits how often you can jump, not how far. Your current fatigue and cooldown are shown in the game client.

Why can I not see a system I know is in range?

Check the Jump Drive Calibration level, which is the setting that moves the edge of the circle most, and check the hull class, since a Titan reaches a full light year less than a dreadnought at the same skill. Regions CCP keeps out of normal play are also never shown.

Do I need to sign in?

No. The range calculator works entirely signed out.
