Wiped Off the Sov Map: How Siberian Squads Lost Deklein and The Spire in Under a Month

A month ago, Siberian Squads held a real chunk of null-sec: two dozen-plus systems in Deklein, a region they'd called home since late 2023, plus a fresh foothold in The Spire. Today, the alliance's sovereignty map is empty. Not "shrinking." Empty — zero systems, according to DOTLAN's live sovereignty data, even though the alliance's public roster still lists 2,136 pilots across 22 member corporations.

It's one of the quieter stories in null-sec right now, because nobody declared war on Siberian Squads with a press release. There's no single climactic battle report to point to. Instead, the collapse happened in two distinct waves, about three weeks apart, and it's worth walking through both.

Wave one: Deklein, August 23-28

Deklein has been Siberian Squads territory for a long time. The alliance's corp had held systems like E3UY-6 since November 2023, upgrading its infrastructure hubs all the way to level 5 — the kind of long-term investment an alliance only makes in space it expects to keep.

Between August 23 and August 28, that changed fast. DOTLAN's event logs show roughly two dozen Deklein systems flipping away from Siberian Squads in that window, with Solyaris Chtonium — a much older alliance, founded back in 2009, running roughly 5,500 pilots across 49 corporations — absorbing the bulk of it. Solyaris Chtonium now holds around 20 systems in Deklein, run almost entirely through a single corporation, Alpha Republic. The rest of the region, more than 50 systems, sits with Test Alliance Please Ignore, which had already been the dominant power on Deklein's map for some time.

Worth noting: Deklein doesn't even appear on the Imperium coalition's own regional breakdown in the August 2026 Monthly report from Eve Monthly's coalition tracker. Whatever tie Siberian Squads had to the wider Imperium compact historically, its Deklein holdings weren't being counted as Imperium space going into this collapse — which makes the loss look less like a coalition-level war and more like an isolated alliance getting pushed out of its own backyard.

Wave two: a retreat to The Spire, then a second knockout

Losing Deklein didn't end Siberian Squads' run at holding sovereign space. The alliance had already been building a secondary presence in The Spire, and on September 10 it pushed five of those systems up to infrastructure tier 2 — a sign of real intent to dig in, not just squat.

Four days later, on September 14, that presence was gone too. Six Spire systems — DVN6-0, XR-ZL7, Z19-B8, U1-VHY, GF-GR7 and HPMN-V — changed hands from Siberian Squads to Legion of xXDEATHXx, a long-running alliance (founded 2008, 2,449 pilots, 34 corporations) that has spent the back half of 2026 quietly expanding through The Spire. Two member corporations left the Siberian Squads roster in the days around that loss, on September 12 and September 14.

The fingerprints: Test Alliance on the killboard

Kill data backs up who was doing the pushing in Deklein. A Siberian Squads starbase in YZ-UKA — a Caldari Control Tower worth close to 300 million ISK — was destroyed on September 16 by an 11-pilot gang from Test Alliance Please Ignore's German Project corporation, with a Naglfar Fleet Issue getting the final blow and a Moros Navy Issue logging the top damage. Several smaller module wrecks from the same tower (a warp scrambling battery, a stasis webifier, a warp disruption battery, a cruise missile battery) show up on the killboard around the same time, consistent with a full structure clear rather than an opportunistic pass-through.

A paradox worth flagging

Here's the part that doesn't fully add up yet: Siberian Squads' own alliance page still lists 15 outposts under its control and over two thousand active pilots, even with the sovereignty map at zero. That gap — a populated alliance with no sovereign ground to stand on — usually means one of a few things: a retreat into NPC null-sec, a shift to renting space from a larger landlord alliance, or a restructure that hasn't shown up in public killboard and sovereignty data yet. Nothing on the alliance's public channels currently spells out which. Worth watching over the next few weeks to see whether Siberian Squads re-forms somewhere new, gets folded into another alliance, or fades out entirely.

Part of a bigger pattern this month

Zoom out, and this isn't an isolated event. DOTLAN's rolling "top sovereignty changes" tracker for the past seven days shows a genuinely busy null-sec map: Weapons Of Mass Production. picked up 18 systems while OnlyFleets. dropped the same number, and Calculated Disorder gained six systems as Lunar Luminescence lost six — on top of the Legion of xXDEATHXx/Siberian Squads swing covered above. None of these look connected to each other region-to-region, but together they paint a null-sec map that's shifting under a lot of alliances at once this September, not just the big-name coalitions making headlines.

For a full, interactive view of who holds what, DOTLAN's live sovereignty map remains the best public tool for tracking it region by region.
