Outer Passage is quietly changing owners
Not every sovereignty story starts with a titan-sized battle. Sometimes the map just shifts, one constellation at a time, and you only notice when you look at the numbers.
This week's clearest example is in Outer Passage. Per DOTLAN's alliance event logs, Calculated Disorder (ticker C-D), an alliance founded on June 6, 2026, picked up a string of systems on September 26: M4U-EH, O-O2GN, J4AQ-O, QHH-13, I-HRX3 and J7X-VN, followed by first-level infrastructure upgrades on several of them. The alliance's current profile lists 470 pilots, five corporations and 15 systems across Delve and Outer Passage, and a new corporation, Cutthroat Industrial, joined on September 27.
On the other side of those flips is Lunar Luminescence (LUNAR, founded April 23, 2025). DOTLAN's event log shows it losing seven systems earlier in September (WK2F-Y, M4U-EH, O-O2GN, J4AQ-O, QHH-13, I-HRX3 and TFPT-U) and nine more between September 20 and 26. It had upgraded eight systems from level 4 to level 5 back on March 9, so this is a pretty steep fall. The alliance page still lists 665 pilots and 16 corporations, but only four remaining Outer Passage systems (1-10QG, 6-GRN7, WIO-OL and YQM-P1), all run by the corporation Moonlight Mouse Hole. Note that DOTLAN's event log and its summary page don't fully agree on that last number, so treat "four systems left" as the latest snapshot rather than a final count.
This is a follow-up to a pattern we've been tracking for a couple of weeks: small and mid-size independents in Delve, Querious and now Outer Passage losing sovereignty in steady waves, mostly without the big battle reports that usually go with it. We haven't found a large fight tied to these particular flips, so we won't claim one.
Meanwhile, DOTLAN's seven-day sovereignty widget also shows bigger swings elsewhere: Fraternity. at +14 systems and No Visual at -14. Fraternity's own log points to a September 26 event in the Tenal region, where nine systems were moved between two of its own holding corporations and five more were added. That reads partly like internal bookkeeping, so we'd be careful about calling it a conquest. We couldn't pull up a page for No Visual, so we can't say more about that one yet.
An unusual PLEX experiment from Fenris Creations
On September 26, Fenris Creations published "Get Your SKINs in Space for Less PLEX," and the details are worth reading for anyone who buys PLEX.
Up to 50% off SKINR components and sequencing, running until October 5.
Up to 48% off the 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 PLEX packs, running until October 4 at 23:59 UTC.
New geometric-shape SKINR components.
A Brand Manager Expert System costing 50 PLEX, giving seven days of access to nine ship-SKIN sequencing skills.
The interesting part is the framing. Fenris Creations describes the PLEX discount as "an experiment to bring this kind of deal to more buyers" and says it will monitor the economic impact. Until now, the only comparable value came from the bulk 20,000 PLEX purchase at 20% off.
Why does that matter beyond the store? PLEX is tied to the in-game economy, and more PLEX entering the market can put pressure on its price. Back in July 2025, the blog The Ancient Gaming Noob made a similar argument about earlier PLEX changes: "If there is more PLEX in the game, then the price will go down. Pretty simple. Maybe." Whether this sale has any real effect will be visible in market data over the next few weeks, so it's one to watch if you trade PLEX.
GM Week is running until October 2
As announced, GM Week runs from September 28 to October 2. The schedule on the official page lists, on the Fenris Creations Twitch channel (times in UTC):
Whack-a-Pinata: confiscated assets from banned accounts are redistributed via Upwell structures in Yulai, Tarta, Emsar and Pakhshi. The structures go abandoned at 17:00 UTC on Monday and at midnight UTC on Friday.
OnlyCans: streams with password-protected containers holding SKINs, PLEX and cosmetics hidden in deep space (Tuesday 20:00, Wednesday 08:00, Thursday 22:00 and Friday 08:00 UTC, plus Monday 22:00).
Lore Pub Quiz: Wednesday, September 30 at 16:00 UTC, billed as "the hardest lore quiz ever made", with 1,000 participant slots.
GM & ISD Roam led by Pando: Thursday, October 1 at 17:00 UTC.
There are also unscheduled GM patrols, hidden "Orbital Stash" containers with daily regions announced on Discord, a scavenger hunt with personalized SKINs, and two community contests (a co-pilot photo contest and a SKINr design showcase).
The community keeps making its own content
The official Community Beat for September 25 highlighted two player-run events from the past weekend, both already covered in our earlier pieces: the Syndicate DMZ and the Amamake Birthday Brawl. It also pointed to new fan videos, including New Eden Today's coverage of the WinterCo Keepstar destruction, a Alliance Tournament preliminaries documentary, and the NERDS podcast.
Not EVE Online, but the same universe: EVE Frontier Cycle 7
One more item for the wider New Eden crowd. EVE Frontier's Cycle 7: Vestiges launched on September 29. According to MMORPG.com and Massively Overpowered, it brings:
Aim flight as the default control scheme, with the option to go back to WASD, plus strafing, rolling and other maneuvers whose performance depends on how you build your ship.
New in-system and inter-system exploration signatures, points of interest, ancient constructs and multi-star systems.
Feral Drones that follow player-equivalent rules: scanning, traveling, mining, salvaging and scavenging, competing for the same resources.
A new skill system for your character and Shell.
A full player wipe, required by changes to universe generation.
What to watch next
Whether Lunar Luminescence's last four Outer Passage systems hold, and whether Calculated Disorder keeps expanding.
How the PLEX market reacts once the discount window closes on October 4.
The end of GM Week on October 2, and the CSM 21 application deadline on the same day.
