On Saturday 10 October, a fleet that started as an "assault frigate roam" ended with more than 11 trillion ISK in wrecks in the low-sec system Obe. Snuffed Out had asked for a brawl for their FC's birthday. Fraternity answered with a lot of titans.

The numbers
We rebuilt the fight on capsuleers.app: full battle report. The window covers 08:00–16:00 UTC on 10 October in Obe.
1,394 killmails, 3,064 pilots, about 11.28 trillion ISK destroyed in total.
Fraternity side (with NC, TEST, Pandemic Legion, Fraternity Auxiliary and others): 1,139 kills, 363 losses, 6.22 trillion ISK destroyed and 1.30 trillion lost.
Snuffed Out side (with The Initiative, Goonswarm, Dracarys and others): 406 kills, 473 losses, 5.05 trillion ISK destroyed and 5.30 trillion lost.
The side split is the one computed by the report tool. Reddit posts quoted lower figures while the fight was still running: 5.94 trillion in an animated report posted before downtime, and 6.5 trillion in another thread.
How it started
The best account comes from Snuffed Out's own after-action report on r/Eve, so read it as one side's story. Their FC, Hy Wanto Destroyer, had asked everyone to log in and "not hold back" for a birthday brawl. The original plan was to use Minmatar militia to bait out another group into a super and titan fight. Morale looked low after the previous night, and the fleet was close to becoming a frigate roam.
Then a Vanquisher showed up nearby. According to the report, it was HIC-pointed and killed a lot of the ships tackling it. Fraternity dreadnoughts started jumping in, Snuffed Out called its logistics, and both sides kept escalating with more capitals. Then the titans came. The author says Fraternity had roughly three times as many, and that the Snuffed Out fleet realised too late it was in range of Fraternity's staging.
The same post describes a Fraternity Azariel dying without a killmail being generated, which the author blames on a game bug. We could not verify that detail. The fight ran until downtime, and some people on the losing side reportedly clapped when the server went down.
Snuffed Out lost Legacy titans in the fight, as another r/Eve thread shows (killmail). A further titan loss in Obe was posted the following day (killmail).
Hy Wanto Destroyer steps back
After the fight, the AAR says, the same FC announced it was his last fleet. In his own post he says he has played for many years, led Snuffed Out for over a decade, and wants to retire. He writes that he is "taking quite a big step back", though you may still see him around. He also promises SRP for the pilots who lost ships.
His farewell also criticises the state of PvP: fleet commanders fear losing ISK because of battle reports, there is more caution and blue-balling, and fewer people have time. The AAR says the future of Snuffed Out is unknown. None of that is confirmed beyond these two posts.
Why it matters
Obe is low-sec, so the fight happened in a place where the big null-sec blocs usually don't bring their titans. A group that wanted a "last big brawl" got one, and lost more than 5 trillion ISK doing it. Meanwhile the reaction on r/Eve was mostly memes and screenshots. The community clearly sees this as one of the weekend's defining events.
More from the weekend
A separate fight in Amamake drew over 1,300 pilots and around 470 billion ISK destroyed, according to the poster. Live report: capsuleers.app fight tracker.
The Crimson Harvest event is drawing complaints on r/Eve about site difficulty and rewards. We cover the event in a separate piece.
