Though she refuses to reveal the information of who her mother is, she has proven time and time again of her blood connection to Gorbish. She snappy attitude and fast paced learning abilities equal that to her father. Her being as blind as a bat like him only furthers the bizarre relationship.
In the past Gorbish may have tired to hide the fact he had any ties to Saorsi, he can't due to the blackmail and guilt.
