The same weekend that Snuffed Out lost its titans at Obe, another fight was going on in lowsec. Amamake hosted a four-way "birthday brawl" with 1,128 pilots on the killmails and 1.87 trillion ISK destroyed. Two days later, in RQH-MY, a very different fight ended with a very lopsided result. Here are both, and what r/Eve is reading into them.
The Amamake birthday brawl
On the evening of 10 October, between 21:45 UTC and 01:00 UTC the next day, Amamake turned into one of the largest fights of the week. Our battle report counts 1,016 kills, 1.87 trillion ISK destroyed and 1,128 pilots.
You can open the full report here: Battle report: Amamake, 10 October 2026.

The report splits the grid into four groups. Because one killmail can credit several sides, the kills below add up to more than the total.
Side | Pilots | Kills | Losses | ISK destroyed | ISK lost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
The Initiative | 347 | 628 | 174 | 477 B | 21 B |
Escalate., Sedition, Fraternity and others | 344 | 832 | 412 | 494 B | 184 B |
Minmatar Fleet Alliance, Cryonic Origin, The Obsidian Front and others | 158 | 443 | 216 | 462 B | 195 B |
Goonswarm Federation, Sigma Grindset, Brave Collective | 279 | 445 | 207 | 434 B | 105 B |
The Initiative came out far ahead on efficiency: about 477 billion ISK destroyed against roughly 21 billion lost. The other three groups traded more evenly with each other. These numbers are calculated by capsuleers.app and will not match other sites.
The live thread on r/Eve, posted while the fight was still running, counted "1304+ pilots" and 469.99 billion ISK destroyed at that moment. That is an early snapshot, not the final figure. The pilot who calls himself the "birthday kid" in the thread thanked everyone who joined the "Birthday Brawl" and called it a banger to see so many people on grid. Another commenter simply called it a birthday bash, and the usual complaints about time dilation followed. The thread does not explain who started the fight or why the sides lined up as they did, so we will not guess.

A second birthday, and a CSM brawl in the same system
The party may not be over. On 12 October a member of Sedition, a small lowsec alliance, posted a "10th of November – Fraternity Amamake Birthday Brawl" invitation. It asks Fraternity to bring only heavy interdictors to Amamake for another member's birthday, and to leave the system of Obe empty. The post is flaired as a meme and the replies treat it as a joke, so read it as banter rather than an announced operation.
A more serious date is closer. A CSM candidate has called a "Brawl for CSM" on 17 October at 21:00 EVE time in Amamake. It is the second year of the event, this time themed around tech 1 battlecruisers, with 100 Hurricanes on offer for anyone who wants to fleet up. Other candidates are invited to bring their own fleets. If you want to know who is on the ballot, we covered the field here: CSM 21 Candidates Announced.

RQH-MY: a one-sided evening
On 12 October between 18:00 and 21:00 UTC, a large fleet fight took place in RQH-MY. A thread titled "Heavy Tidi in PB, why?" asked what was going on, and the answers placed it in Pure Blind. Our report counts 412 kills, 144 billion ISK destroyed and 1,178 pilots.
Full report: Battle report: RQH-MY, 12 October 2026.

We grouped the grid into two sides, based on who was shooting at whom.
Goonswarm, Initiative and Snuffed Out | TEST, NC, Fraternity, Synergy and SLYCE | |
|---|---|---|
Pilots | 603 | 575 |
Kills | 290 | 212 |
Losses | 144 | 266 |
ISK destroyed | 83.0 B | 61.2 B |
ISK lost | 6.7 B | 80.2 B |
The first side was mostly The Initiative (480 pilots), with 73 from Snuffed Out and 50 from Goonswarm. The second was TEST (153), Northern Coalition (142), Fraternity (138), Synergy of Steel (75) and SLYCE (67). Roughly 6.7 billion ISK lost against 80.2 billion is a gap of about twelve to one.
What the thread says about why it happened is one commenter's account. He writes that Winterco attacked a Snuffed Out fortizar, that the fight was over an armor timer, and that Snuffed Out and The Initiative were on the defensive. Another commenter, on the Snuffed Out and Initiative side, says that nobody is forbidden from bringing capitals to a defensive timer, and a third attributes the trouble to the Ansiblex changes. We could not confirm the timer or the structure from killmails, so treat all of it as the commenters' view.

What the community is asking next
Two days of fights were enough to restart an old question. A thread titled "Are Winter Coalition in trouble?" argues that The Initiative, Snuffed Out and Goonswarm look friendly again and together control around three quarters of the map, which would leave the Winter Coalition as the obvious target. That is the author's reading, and the replies are split: several commenters say that a coalition shrinking and spreading out is healthier for the game, and that wiping it would not help anyone. Nobody in the thread reports an actual plan to invade.
Another post, flaired as a propaganda piece, jokes that a group is "declaring war" on WOMP. It is a joke post with no confirmation anywhere else, and we do not count it as news.
What we do know is what the killmails say: two big fights in three days, and in both of them The Initiative, alone at Amamake and with Snuffed Out and Goonswarm at RQH-MY, finished with very low losses. For the Obe fight itself, see Snuffed Out Feeds Over 5 Trillion ISK to Fraternity at Obe.

Crimson Harvest raised the stakes
All of this happened during the Crimson Harvest event. Commenters in the Obe thread joke about a "super brawl during a 90% drop event" and about the loot that would be left behind, and a pilot in the Bordan thread says his fleet commander kept him in a pod rather than risk a 90% drop on his implants. The official announcement is here: Crimson Harvest: Open the Bloodgates, as linked by a r/Eve user.
