Asset Consolidator — complete guide

You have assets scattered over five stations and three characters, and you want everything in one system. The Asset Consolidator reads what you own, picks who carries what with which ship, and writes the plan: trips, contracts between your characters, ships to fly by hand. This guide explains every step.

What is the Capsuleers Asset Consolidator for EVE Online?

The Asset Consolidator on Capsuleers.App is an EVE Online logistics planner that moves the assets of all your characters into one arrival system. It reads your assets through ESI, measures your haulers from their real fit, and writes a plan: which hauler loads where and in which order, by gate or jump drive, which private contracts to create between your characters and which ships you must fly by hand. It requires an EVE login with the Assets service on.

Moving out of a region, merging the assets of several alts or bringing everything to a new staging means opening every hangar, adding up volumes, choosing ships and remembering who has to hand what to whom. The tool does the counting. Hold sizes come from the actual fit and skills (a Charon with three Expanded Cargohold II carries more than a bare one), so the trips are sized on real capacity, not on the base hull.

A saved plan can be reopened from any device and measures its own progress by reading your assets again. Nothing is moved for you: the plan is a checklist for the EVE client, and the site only reads assets, locations and skills with the permissions you granted.

01

How do I set the arrival system, whose assets to move and who hauls?

In step 1 of the Capsuleers.App Asset Consolidator you type the arrival system and answer two separate questions. «Assets to consolidate» lists whose assets must end up in that system; «Who hauls» lists the characters that will fly a hauler. A character can haul without owning anything to move, and collect the others' assets by contract. Nothing is read from ESI until you switch a character on, and every hauler gets a ship selector. Press «Next: what to move» when every hauler has a ship. The destination, chosen ships and options are remembered on this device; the selected characters are not, so the next plan starts clean. It needs an EVE login with the Assets service on the characters.

How to use it

  1. Type the arrival system in «Arrival system» and pick it from the list.
  2. Switch on the characters whose assets you want to move.
  3. Switch on the characters who haul: each one gets a hauler selector.
  4. Press «Next: what to move» when every hauler has a ship.

Which ship should each hauler fly?

Each hauler in the Asset Consolidator picks the ship it will fly, and the plan uses the numbers shown next to it. «Your ships» lists the transports the character really owns, with render, hold, ship maintenance bay and jump range measured from the actual fit and the character's skills. Below come generic hulls by class (freighters, jump freighters, deep space transports, blockade runners, carriers, Bowhead) for ships you plan to buy. Pick one of your ships or a generic class and read cargo, ship bay and jump range beside it. If the character has not granted the skills permission, capacities are computed with skills at V and the selector says so.

How to use it

  1. Open the selector under «Hauler».
  2. Pick one of your ships, or a class from the generic list.
  3. Read cargo, ship bay and jump range next to it: they are the numbers the plan uses.

How do I set the gate route and the repackaging rules?

The «How to move» panel of the Asset Consolidator sets four rules for the whole plan. The gate route is «Safer», which avoids low and null security systems where it can, or «Shortest», which takes the fewest jumps. «Contracts between my characters» lets a hauler collect another character's assets with a private 0 ISK contract. «Repackage unfitted ships» shrinks empty hulls to their packaged volume so a freighter can carry them. «Repackage all ships» also unfits the fitted ones: rigs are destroyed, except on Strategic Cruisers. A ship that, even packaged, is larger than the biggest hold reaching it is not repackaged, so you do not destroy its rigs for nothing.

How to use it

  1. «Safer» avoids low and null security systems on gate routes where it can; «Shortest» takes the fewest jumps.
  2. «Contracts between my characters» lets a hauler collect another character's assets with a private 0 ISK contract.
  3. «Repackage unfitted ships» shrinks empty hulls to their packaged volume so a freighter can carry them.
  4. «Repackage all ships» also unfits the fitted ones: rigs are destroyed, except on Strategic Cruisers.

How do I choose which systems to collect assets from?

Step 2 of the Asset Consolidator groups every reachable asset by system and shows stations, owners, cargo volume, assembled ships and capitals. You choose the systems to collect from, and at the start none is selected: only what you tick goes in the plan. A summary above counts systems, volume and ships of the current choice. Use «Quick select» (All, None, High-sec, Low-sec, Null-sec) to tick whole security bands, switch single systems on or off in the table, then press «Compute the plan». It needs the Assets service on the characters whose assets you move.

How to use it

  1. Use «Quick select» — All, None, High-sec, Low-sec, Null-sec — to tick whole security bands.
  2. Switch single systems on or off in the table.
  3. Press «Compute the plan».

What happens to assets I cannot reach, such as a lost structure?

«Out of reach» in the Asset Consolidator lists assets you cannot collect right now: structures where docking was revoked, items already in asset safety, wormhole or Pochven space. For a structure with revoked docking the tool estimates where asset safety would deliver them (the closest NPC station by distance in the right security band) with the days and the fee, and you can include it in the plan as an estimate, collected in that station after delivery. In the same system asset safety can be triggered by hand after 5 days with a 0.5% fee; otherwise it is automatic after 20 days with 15%. Open «Out of reach» under the systems table, read «Where they would go», and switch the row on.

How to use it

  1. Open «Out of reach» under the systems table.
  2. Read «Where they would go»: system, days and fee of the asset safety.
  3. Switch on the row to include those assets as an estimate: the plan collects them in that station after delivery.

How are cynos placed for jump freighters and carriers?

When a hauler can jump (jump freighter, carrier, Rorqual), step 2 of the Asset Consolidator asks how to place the cynos with two cards. «Safe» lands every intermediate jump only in a system with an NPC station, even if the route gets longer; «Short» takes the chain with the fewest jumps. The choice applies to haulers and to capitals flown by hand. Stops and the destination are always reached: the station rule only applies to the cynos in between. Jump range and fuel come from the fitting engine, including your jump skills.

How to use it

  1. Pick one of the two cards at the top of step 2.
  2. The choice applies to haulers and to capitals flown by hand.

How do I read the trips of each hauler?

Step 3 of the Asset Consolidator shows the plan: totals (trips, gates and jumps, light-years and isotopes, m³ moved, contracts, ships to fly) and one card per hauler. Click a hauler to see its trips as tabs, each with the stations to visit in order, what to load (with notes such as «Empty the containers» or «Repackage the ships»), the jumps from the previous stop and the hold after loading. Open a stop to see exactly what to load there. With two or more haulers the plan balances the work: each location goes to whoever would finish first, counting what is already assigned.

How to use it

  1. Click a hauler card to see its trips.
  2. Switch trip with the tabs above the itinerary.
  3. Open a stop to see exactly what to load there.

08

How do I see the route of a trip, gates and cynos?

Press «Show the route» under a trip in the Asset Consolidator and the itinerary unfolds leg by leg: consecutive gates folded into one row, each jump on its own row with light-years, and every cyno marked with or without an NPC station. A filter keeps only stops and cynos. «Copy cyno list» copies the systems for the pilots who will light them, which saves you from retyping them. Use it to brief your cyno alts before the trip starts.

How to use it

  1. Press «Show the route» under a trip.
  2. Read gates and jumps per leg; cynos with an NPC station are marked.
  3. Press «Copy cyno list» to send the systems to whoever lights them.

09

How do I avoid a dangerous system or move a cyno?

Every system in the route of the Asset Consolidator is a button. Its menu can avoid that system (the plan is recomputed around it) or, on a cyno followed by another jump, move the cyno to an alternative within range of both jumps, NPC stations first. In an open route click the system, choose «Avoid this system» or a system under «Light the cyno elsewhere»; your changes appear as chips above the plan and can be removed one by one or reset. Gate camps and insurgency systems are already avoided automatically on routes; a saved plan recomputes its routes with the hazards of the moment every time you open it.

How to use it

  1. In an open route, click the system you want to change.
  2. Choose «Avoid this system», or a system under «Light the cyno elsewhere».
  3. Remove a change from the chips above the plan, or reset them all.

What contracts do I need to create between my characters?

«Before leaving: contracts» in the Asset Consolidator lists the private 0 ISK contracts to create before the trips start: who gives what to whom, in which station. Each pair of characters is a card; «Show the stations» lists where the contracts go, and «Details» opens a side panel with every line to put in the contract, with a filter and a copy button. Create the private contract in game from the giver to the receiver. The tool only tells you what to put in each contract: it never creates one for you.

How to use it

  2. Press «Details» on a station to see the lines of that contract.

11

Which ships do I have to fly myself?

Assembled ships that no hold can carry go in «Fly it yourself» in the Asset Consolidator, grouped by reason and by station: capitals, ships too big for every ship bay, or any assembled ship when no hauler has a ship maintenance bay. Freighters and jump freighters do not take assembled ships. Each ship is assigned to a character who has the skills to fly that hull, choosing whoever would finish first; if the tool could not read the skills, the assignment says so. A Bowhead or a carrier among the haulers would carry assembled ships in its ship maintenance bay.

  2. Fly the ship to the destination with the assigned pilot.
  3. If the tool could not read the skills, the assignment says so.

How do I save and copy the plan?

At the top of the Asset Consolidator plan you can name it, copy it as text for a channel or a notepad, and save it on your account. Write a name or keep the suggested one, press «Copy the plan» for a text version, then «Save» and «Open the progress view». Saving also stores a snapshot of your assets, which is what progress is measured against later. Plans are stored on the site, not in the browser, so they follow your account.

14

How do I follow the progress without ticking anything?

An open plan in the Asset Consolidator reads your assets again and compares them with the snapshot taken when you saved it. A contract counts as done when the giver's volume in that station drops, a stop when its location loses the volume the plan takes from it, a ship when it is in the destination system; asset safety stops go through four phases, from the structure to collected. Open a saved plan (or a link with «?plan=»), press «Refresh» after moving things in game and read «Collected», «Arrived at destination», «Contracts done» and «Ships flown». ESI updates assets at most once an hour, so progress follows with some delay; the percentage is rounded down, so 100% means everything is really there.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move all my assets to one system in EVE Online?

Sign in with your characters, enable the Assets service, and open the Asset Consolidator on Capsuleers.App. Choose the arrival system, whose assets to move and who hauls with which ship: the tool computes trips, contracts between your characters and the ships to fly by hand.

Does the Asset Consolidator work with jump freighters?

Yes. Jump range and fuel come from the fitting engine, including jump skills. The plan writes jumps, light-years, isotopes and cyno systems, and can land every intermediate jump in a system with an NPC station. Jump drives cannot land in high-sec, wormholes, Pochven or Zarzakh.

Can a freighter carry an assembled ship?

No. Freighters and jump freighters do not take assembled ships or fitted containers, except freight containers. Unfitted ships can be repackaged; fitted ones need a ship maintenance bay (Bowhead, carriers) or have to be flown.

What happens to assets in a structure I can no longer dock in?

They are listed as out of reach with an estimate of where asset safety would deliver them: the closest NPC station by distance in the right security band. You can include them in the plan as an estimate, collected after delivery.

Why does the tool suggest contracts between my characters?

When a hauler can collect another character's assets on its way, a private 0 ISK contract saves trips. You can turn contracts off in «How to move».

Does the site move or contract anything for me?

No. It only reads assets, locations and skills with the permissions you granted. Contracts, repackaging and flights happen in the EVE client.

How is progress measured without ticking anything?

The saved plan keeps a snapshot of your assets. Each refresh reads them again from ESI and checks which volumes have left their station and which have reached the destination.

Are my consolidation plans private?

Yes. A saved plan belongs to your account; another account opening its link gets «not found».
