In-game bio

Ping, Ping, the feedback from the scanner probe broke the deafening silence. Ryu watched closely as with each adjustment the feed back from the strange cosmic signature increased. With a final ping he had the signature pinpointed.

Something was not right, it was unlike any signature he had seen before. As the navigation systems fired up and the warp drive came to life an all to uncomfortable sensation filled him, and as the rumble of the warp tunnel subsided he realised why. In front of the ship floated the strangest thing he has ever seen, what looked like a window to another world trapped in a drop of water pulsed and rippled.

He had heard the tales before as old capsuleers sat in the bars, boasting of the adventures they had and the money they accumulated. They had described them as “Wormholes”, somewhat of a naturally occurring jump gate that was a portal to far off systems, some of them untouched by any of the four empires.

A battle ensued between his heart and head. On one hand there was no knowing what was the other side, untold dangers or certain death. Yet on the other hand there was no knowing what was on the other side, this piqued Ryu’s curiosity too much to ignore. He aligned the ship to take a closer look and before he was able to reconsider the pull of the wormhole sucked his ship in only to spit it out again.

Ryu regained his senses and took a look around, something was wrong. His ship had no ideas where in New Eden it was, no co-ordinates, no records, no communication beacons. Simply nothing recognisable. Suddenly the gravity of the situation dawned on him and Ryu quickly turned his ship back towards the wormhole. It was spinning and pulsing rapidly and instead of sucking the ship in, it pushed it away as it disappeared into the ether. Ryu was trapped!
