In-game bio
I am pretty much mostly retired from the capsuleer life at this point. Reflecting on my time out here, I always operated by a hitherto-unwritten Mercenary Honor Code:
1. When "off duty" / flying alone I am usually pacifist.
1a. I do not attack first without a solid reason or a profit motive.
1b. I pursue diplomacy and "friendliness tanking" first whenever possible.
1c. I see capsuleer combat as ISK-wasteful and fight only in self-defense.
2. When flying for a Fleet, Corporation, Alliance, and/or Contract their wishes overrule.
2a. I follow my current standing orders to the best of my abilities.
2b. I do not get emotionally invested, for nothing is personal, it is just business.
2c. I only go after targets that are relevant to the mission at hand.
3. In all situations
3a. I strive not to take any losses personally.
With "shoot first talk later" as the norm, others are just as scared of you as you are of them, and often grateful if that fear is diffused. Sparing other spacecraft can open doors to fleet opportunities and/or friendships. (Note: Despite my undying love and admiration for Signal Cartel, I was never able to give up aggressive fleets to join them. Sometimes, I just loved blowing things up.)
I tended to prefer unarmed exploration ships when flying solo. Should you encounter me alone in another ship type -- then, perhaps, be concerned. However, you can always ask me if I'm a threat to you at any point in time.
I shall not likely stay in this universe, but if you got this far in reading, I hope this was in some small way inspirational. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
