In-game bio

Do capsuleers have a soul? Honest question. They spend their lives acquiring and competing for resources that have no substance and waste their time developping skills that will not serve them later. Why, then, do they love so much the capsuleers life? I myself just had a dream about kernite last night. I suppose we could ask the same thing about any other form of entertainment. Even dinner with the family, sports competition or a child chivalrous fantasy, that never grow up to be brave. If, for example, a tree does not grow its leaves and colorful flowers, can we describe it as one? What about the man who prefer to satisfy its vigourous desires of power, fame and prosperity in a mere simulation?

An extract of Earth to New Eden, by the ascending amarrian sophist Judith Castellane.
