In-game bio
Born in year 84 on Muvolailen VIII, Mikeal Volkov grew up in a family deeply involved in Caldari corporate culture. His grandparents founded Volkov Cryotech Harvesters, initially focused on resource harvesting, later expanding into trade, making it a major Caldari business at Muvolailen VIII. From an early age, Mikeal was drawn to the logic of economics. He realized that the true power of the Caldari State wasn’t in military strength but in controlling trade and resources. Fascinated by market trends and ore pricing, Mikeal immersed himself in studying mining, reprocessing, and mineral value. He pursued formal education at the Science and Trade Institute in year 102, where he was mentored by Professor Marius Kicia, an expert in Caldari resource markets.
Upon graduating in year 106, Mikeal joined the capsuleer program a year after and finished within 5 years. Returning to the family business, Mikeal quickly established himself as a capable leader. He worked alongside his father, eventually assuming greater responsibility for Volkov Cryotech Harvesters, guiding it toward further success.
Mikeal also took his younger brother, Risto, under his wing. After Risto graduated from the State War Academy, Mikeal brought him into the security fleet to oversee transport operations between Jita stations. Unfortunately, their first mission ended in an ambush. Risto was seriously injured and lost an eye. Mikeal blamed himself for exposing his brother to danger, which led to their temporary separation as Risto recovered. Determined to help, Mikeal sponsored Risto’s entry into the capsuleer program at SWA, hoping it would help him heal and regain his confidence.
The expansion of the company to gas mining didn’t go that well. Mikeal’s team was ambushed by pirates sided with a bad contractor. They lost a few ships and since that time Mikeal felt watched and increasingly paranoid. Pirates were seen near his fleet, and Devon Gato, his hauling contractor, was also threatened. Feeling unsafe, Mikeal made the difficult decision to burn his family’s company.
Refusing to give up, Mikeal bought a hauling from his friend Devon. In early 127, he rebranded it as Galactic Prowl Syndicate, expanding into hauling, mining, industry, and trading. He moved the center of oper
