In-game bio
Dax Venia was born on the rugged mining outpost of Titan Station, orbiting Saturn, where he grew up surrounded by the hum of machinery and the glow of distant stars. From an early age, he showed an affinity for engineering and a relentless drive to explore beyond known limits. By his mid-twenties, Dax had become one of the youngest licensed asteroid miners in the Outer Belt, operating his own small rig, The Covenant.
His career took a dramatic turn during a routine drilling operation near the Vesta Cluster. A plasma containment breach caused a catastrophic explosion that tore through his ship’s hull. Dax survived but lost sight in his right eye after a shard of composite glass struck his visor. The injury left a lasting scar—both physical and emotional—but also hardened his resolve.
Refusing to retire or accept a desk job, Dax had his damaged visor replaced with an augmented ocular implant, allowing him to perceive radiation signatures invisible to the human eye. Using this new advantage, he went on to discover several high-yield mineral veins in previously inaccessible regions of space.
Known among miners as “One-Eye Venia,” Dax became a symbol of resilience and grit in the deep-space community—a man who turned tragedy into a new way of seeing the universe.
