In-game bio

Ferg van Mair started his career in Metropolis as a miner, later advancing to Mining Foreman.
He later tried to leave the capsuleer's life behind. It took him some time, but finally he realized there's no way back to a normal life.

So he again took to the stars and founded the Ferg van Mair corporation together with some close friends. After a long phase of solely being a subcontractor to larger freight services leadership changed for a short period to Rhudmer Zharkov and the corporation tried to diversify its activities.
After a strategic partnership with another corporation, FvMC was restructured once again focusing on its core business of being a hauling subcontractor. Those who wanted to do other stuff found a new home with the other corporation, forming strong ties in the process.

Ferg is now the head of a company that's close knit and more of a family than a corporation and is not open to new employees.
The corporation has strong ties to their members' heritages and to the empire governments, regularly doing business with various empire corporations. Capsuleers who menace the shipping routes under various guises are considered pirates.
