In-game bio
Through calls made by followers to the one that leads, the imperator can discern how well the commanders of men function. All men will complain and hold their superiors responsible for their misery, or more oftenly failure to act according to what they themselves and their peers expect of them.
A good commander knows that such gripes do not aim at him, or even at his imperator. No target is in sight of the conscripts, None but the need to rest what is upon their hearts. Trials have tested them, and all men with blood of battle upon their souls know; to keep oneself and ones brothers alive, another enemy needs to be the target of their companies discontent.
"Where strategy is formed their is one place one would rather not be; in the gaze of a commander looking for battle."
- Taldar proverb of corporate strategy
