In-game bio
Survivor of an illicit breeding experiment labeled "Continuity," subject 85K-5 had no given birth name. Artificially grown, a product of advanced hormone therapy and CRISPR editing nanites, 85K-5 could alter their sex at will to meet the needs of the Amarr Empire. Kept in a state of genetic chimerism, Continuity's subjects were often referred to as "the clay" - homogenous in both appearance and identity, or so their Amar overlords mistakenly thought.
Amidst the mayhem of a reactor malfunction at the clandestine facility, subject 85K-5 narrowly made an escape. With just the magnitude of an emerging identity and the acceleration from the engines of a borrowed maintenance corvette, 85K-5 was propelled toward their destiny. The ship eventually arrived on the outskirts of a nearby nebula before the power reserves were completely depleted. Life-support now failing, the nebula's magnificent hues bagan to be supplanted by an unrelenting darkness. It crept beyond the dark periphery of the viewscreen to devour the last slivers 85K-5's consciousness.
Awakening sometime after, a voice spoke:
"Easy, now....slowly. Can you recall your name?"
Coming to grips with the juxtaposition, 85K-5 struggled to answer the query.
Desperately scanning their surroundings for inspiration, 85K-5's eyes settled upon the corvette's nameplate...
"Shh-y-van...I'm Shyvan."
