Raeilis Sha'i

This high functioning sociopath is the last surviving family member of the Bulcastent Mages and the great grand daughter of Maltius Sha'i (aka. The Hysterical Mage). The Sha'i unfortunately for millennia have been ingesting worm wood, mercury and trita leaf extract claiming that it gave them supernatural powers. Therefore Madness was a common trait in the family line. However, there were unusual stories about the family over the centuries but most have passed into myth. A well known story is the demise of the family, when the mad mage was invited to the Ammar Court to entertain at the 31st birthday of the Emperor. Maltius was called on to the stage to perform a feat, unfortunately the mage had not bathed in 3 weeks so was smelling of the feces he slept in. The Emperor laughed at his state and humiliated the mage as all the nobles laughed. The mage went on to the stage with a frown, he instantly waved his hands above his head and the Emperor was gently lifted out of his seat the crowd
