Shaani was born in YC082 in a small poor Sebiestor colony named Arakis in the Ammold system.
Her mother, Sharuum, was owner of a small but local famous aerobike garage called "Midnight Oil".
Aged 14, she was already know as one of the best tinkerer of her district and a true part of the shop.
But the old Minmatar wisdom quote, "If it's too good, it wont continue" become true and her mother gone missing.
Local security only tell her she was lost as requisitioned member of supply ship in a military operation.
Smart and fast-learner, she would have become a great engineer on another colony but ended chief of a small aerobike girls gang while maintain the shop.
Local protectors and rebels more than real mobs, She aquired the "Skjalmo" nickname because of her habit of using a small armor shield she called "Eclipse" in her fights.
Aged 16, Shaani was old enough to join the Republic Military School curriculum.
Ambition became greater than fear so Shaani and her fellows joined the training course, pass it and enlisted in the Republic Military Reserve after graduation (YC104).
