What is Skill Plans?

Skill Plans is a free EVE Online skill planner on Capsuleers.App that starts from what you are already training. It reads each pilot's skills and training queue from ESI, treats the queue as the first plan and shows when it really ends. On top of any plan it calculates the optimal neural remap, simulates implants and cerebral accelerators, and shows which attributes the plan leans on. It needs an EVE login with the Skills service enabled.

You can also build your own plans: pick skills one by one, take every requirement of a ship or module, or paste a list from a forum post or another planner. Prerequisites come in by themselves, in training order. Saved plans belong to your Capsuleers.App account and follow the skills you actually train, so the progress bar moves as you play, for any of your characters.

Nothing is written to your character: remaps, implants and queue changes stay in the game client.

How do I see when my training queue ends?

Skill Plans on Capsuleers.App reads each pilot's training queue from ESI and opens it as the first plan, marked Live. You see the skill in training with its percentage, the end date in EVE time, the progress bar, the levels and skill points left, SP per hour and unallocated points. The end date is the one ESI reports, so it matches the game client even after a remap or a new implant. Each pilot has its own tab at the top, so switching between alts is one click. From the live plan you can press Save as a plan to keep an editable copy, or Copy as a list to paste the queue into a forum post or another planner. The page only reads: your queue is never changed.

How to use it

  1. Open Skill Plans and pick a pilot from the tabs at the top.
  2. The «Training queue» plan opens on its own and follows the game.
  3. Use «Save as a plan» to keep a copy you can edit, or «Copy as a list» to paste it elsewhere.

How do I track the progress of a saved skill plan?

The Plans list in Skill Plans keeps the training queue on top and your saved plans below it, each with a ring showing how much is already trained and how long is left. Progress is calculated from the skills the selected pilot actually has, so it moves while you train in game, with no manual update. A plan belongs to your Capsuleers.App account, not to one character: switch pilot at the top and the same plan shows that pilot's progress, end date and remaining levels. Open a plan to see its end date and the levels still to train, edit it, delete it, or copy it as a list to share with a corpmate.

How to use it

  1. Click a plan in the list to open it on the right.
  2. Read the end date, the progress bar and the levels still to train.
  3. Use «Edit plan» to change it, «Delete» to remove it, «Copy as a list» to share it.

Tip A plan belongs to your account, not to one pilot: switch character at the top and the same plan shows the progress of that pilot.

What is the best neural remap for my skill plan?

Skill Plans finds the optimal neural remap for the open plan by trying every valid one. Each attribute has a base between 17 and 27 and the five bases always add up to 99, which leaves 2,885 valid distributions of the 14 free points, each capped at +10 per attribute. The page prices all of them against the levels you still have to train, so the answer is exact, not a rule of thumb. Training speed is the primary attribute plus half the secondary, in SP per minute. The card shows time saved and the before and after of each attribute; the panel lets you move points by hand. Implants and boosters sit on top of the base and a remap does not touch them.

How to use it

  1. Open a plan and click «Open the remap» on the Optimal remap card.
  2. Compare «Now» and «After remap»: the difference is the time saved.
  3. Use − and + to try your own values; «Back to optimal» restores the best one.
  4. Set the values in the client's Neural Remap screen, or copy them with «Copy the values».

Tip The panel also says whether a remap is available now: bonus remaps and the date of the yearly one come from ESI.

How much sooner do implants and boosters finish my plan?

The Skill Plans simulator answers how much sooner a plan ends with better implants or a cerebral accelerator. Pick an implant grade (+3, +4 or +5) for all attributes or set one per attribute, choose a booster and how many days it lasts, and optionally apply the optimal remap for those implants. The simulated end date updates as you click, next to the current one. Implants add to the attribute for the whole plan; an accelerator speeds up only the days it is active, so on a long plan a one-day booster saves little and the number shows it. Nothing is bought or changed in the game: it is a simulation to decide before you spend ISK.

How to use it

  1. Click «Open the simulator» on the Accelerator simulator card.
  2. Pick an implant grade (+3, +4, +5) or set one per attribute.
  3. Pick a booster and enter how many days it lasts.
  4. Tick «Also apply the optimal remap for these implants» to combine the two.

How long does each level of my plan take?

Skill Plans lists every level of a plan in a table: primary and secondary attribute, training time and the date it will be done. Prerequisites are marked, levels already trained are dimmed and the level in training shows its end. A level's cost follows the game rule: 250 SP times the skill's training rank times 2 to the power of 2.5 for each level above I, so level V of a rank 1 skill is 256,000 SP and a rank 8 skill costs eight times that. The All, To train and Trained chips filter the rows, and long plans open with the first rows, with Show more for the rest.

How to use it

  1. Scroll below the remap and accelerator cards.
  2. Use the All / To train / Trained chips to filter the rows.
  3. Long plans open with the first rows: «Show more» reveals the rest.

Which attributes does my skill plan depend on?

The bars at the bottom of a Skill Plans plan show how many training hours it spends on each of the five attributes (perception, memory, willpower, intelligence, charisma), split between primary and secondary. A skill trains on one attribute as primary, which counts in full, and another as secondary, which counts for half, so the tallest bar is the attribute a remap should raise. It is the quickest way to see why a remap helps a gunnery-heavy plan and does little for a mixed one, and it explains the numbers on the remap card.

How to use it

  1. Open a plan and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Read the tall bars: those are the attributes worth raising.

How do I build a skill plan skill by skill?

Skill Plans builds a plan from individual skills. Click New plan, give it a name, then search a skill or a whole group (Gunnery, Navigation, Capital) and click the level you want, from I to V. Its prerequisites are added before it, in training order, and the totals at the top update with levels, SP and time. Rows can be dragged to reorder, but a level is never placed before what it needs. Removing a level also removes what depends on it, and the page says how many levels went with it. Press Save plan to keep it on your Capsuleers.App account.

How to use it

  1. Click «New plan» and give the plan a name.
  2. In the Skills tab, type a skill or group name (Gunnery, Navigation, Capital…).
  3. Click a level from I to V: prerequisites come with it.
  4. Drag rows to reorder them; a level is never placed before what it needs.
  5. Click «Save plan».

How do I see the skills needed to fly a ship or use a module?

The Ship or item tab of the Skill Plans builder searches every ship, module and item in the game and adds all the skills needed to use it, prerequisites included, in training order. It is the fastest way to answer what you need to fly a ship such as a Paladin: type its name, press Add requirements, and the plan shows the levels, SP and time at your current attributes. Requirements come from the game's static data export, so they follow the skill rules of the current release. You can then add more ships or skills to the same plan before saving it.

How to use it

  1. In the builder, open the «Ship or item» tab.
  2. Type the name of a ship or module.
  3. Click «Add requirements» next to it.

How do I import a skill list into a plan?

The Paste a list tab of Skill Plans reads one skill per line, with the level in digits or Roman numerals, for example Gunnery V or Capital Ships 4. It understands lists copied from forum posts, doctrines and other planners, and tells you how many skills it recognised and which lines it could not, so you can fix them. Press Add to the plan and the recognised skills enter with their prerequisites, in training order. Use it to turn a corporation doctrine's skill requirements into a plan with an end date for your character.

How to use it

  1. In the builder, open «Paste a list».
  2. Paste the list, one skill per line (for example «Gunnery V» or «Capital Ships 4»).
  3. Check how many skills were recognised and click «Add to the plan».

Frequently asked questions

What is the best neural remap for my skill plan?

The best remap is the one that trains your plan fastest, and it depends on the plan. Skill Plans tries every valid remap (each attribute between 17 and 27, 99 points in total) against the levels you still have to train, and shows the time saved. If your current attributes are already the best, it says so.

Which ESI permissions does Skill Plans need?

Skill Plans needs the skills and training queue, from the Skills service on your profile. The Clones service is optional: with it your implants are read from the clone, without it you can enter their bonuses by hand in the remap panel.

How much time does a cerebral accelerator really save?

It depends on its bonus and on how many days it lasts compared with the plan. Open the accelerator simulator in Skill Plans, pick the booster and its duration, and the page compares the simulated end date with the current one.

How do I see the skills needed to fly a ship?

Open New plan in Skill Plans, go to the Ship or item tab, search the ship and click Add requirements. Every skill and prerequisite is added in training order, with the time it takes at your current attributes.

Can I import a skill plan from EVEMon or a forum post?

Yes: paste it in the Paste a list tab of Skill Plans, with one skill per line and its level in digits or Roman numerals. Lines that are not recognised are listed so you can fix them.

Why can the end date differ slightly from the game?

Because the training queue uses the dates ESI reports, while saved plans are calculated from your current attributes. A remap, an implant or a booster in game changes the plans until the next read.

Does Skill Plans change my training queue?

No, Skill Plans only reads. Remaps, implants and the queue are changed in the game client.

Where are my skill plans saved?

On your Capsuleers.App account, so they open on any device. If storage is unavailable the page says so and keeps them in this browser.
