Gridlocked & Loaded

Content for newcomers has flourished this season. EVE University has hosted AT talks for newer capsuleers, and EVE Rookies offered a practice team for players interested in trying out the tournament format in an easy-to-drop-in role.

Meanwhile, CCP Lumi’s new podcast, Gridlocked, is breaking down the format and helping more capsuleers get tournament-ready. Catch it on Spotify or YouTube now!

Gridlocked: Alliance Tournament Basics!

I Predict a Riot

Thanks to a new partnership between the Caldari State and the Independent Gaming Commissions (IGC), this year’s tournament is packed with prizes, for competitors and spectators alike.

Challonge Predictions

Head to the ATXXI brackets on Challonge and click “Predictions” to enter your picks. You’ll need to complete 93 choices and select your chosen winners to be eligible.

The top 10 scores win big:

Two additional entries will be randomly selected for bonus rewards, so even if you don’t feel especially predictive, you still have a shot! We’ll be contacting the winners using the email address submitted on Challonge, so please ensure you enter your details correctly.

Streamcast

Additionally, you can invest Twitch channel points (Loyalty Points) in predictions for each match. Guess correctly and you can multiply your points, which can be exchanged for a random GalNet Streamcast SKIN. Win or lose, it’s worth tuning in.

SKINs, Drops & Decals

Every tournament season, the IGC works hard to produce prize ships and SKINs for participants. To maintain a healthy bottom line, they also make a series of celebratory SKINs available to the public.

NewSecure Product Card 1920x1080

They are available in the store now!

A few of these SKINs have also been made available to ATXXI viewers. The Griffin and Skybreaker Shattered Paradigm SKINs will be given out as Twitch Drops, in addition to a Caldari-themed colour and decal for SKINR.

But wait, there’s more!

IGC has chosen two prize ships from Caldari designers, the Skua and Anhinga, and engineers are currently hard at work fine-tuning the designs. Now that the tournament is approaching, they’ve shared more details about these powerful vessels:

Ship Preview

The flurry of sponsors for the Alliance Tournament doesn’t stop at the prize ships. A new Caldari Victory SKIN range has been created, where 10 SKINs will be awarded to each team securing a win.

Make sure you tune into Alliance Tournament XXI and don’t miss a single, action-packed moment.

Catalyst Expansion Launches 18 November

Catalyst Expansion Launches 18 November

Illustrious capsuleers,

Mining is the foundation of all activity in EVE Online, with entire empires being born from a single rock. The Catalyst expansion, coming on 18 November, highlights it as the frontline of power. A new, highly valuable ore will spark a new resource rush, and capsuleers will once again wield the mightiest ships in pursuit of extraordinary riches.

TL;DR

  • Catalyst expansion launches 18 November
  • A new, unpredictable ore ignites a galaxy-wide resource rush
  • Hyperspace fractures reveal volatile asteroid fields rich in Prismaticite
  • Command new ships: the Pioneer mining destroyer and Odysseus exploration ship
  • Mining refined with faster cycles, critical hits, and improved UI
  • Explore the stars with the new 2D map
  • Start your journey with a new epic arc
  • Carriers updated, PLEX logs added, and much more to come

A Resource Rush

Mining is now becoming increasingly dynamic, rewarding, and fiercely contested, with mysterious hyperspace fractures revealing volatile asteroids, rich in a powerful ore.

Catalyst video 1 - Hyperspace Fracture

Discover Phased Fields and bring your fleet to harvest great riches, but at great peril. Dispatch new phase anchor deployables to be able to mine the mysterious asteroids and the prismaticite they contain but act fast before the fracture closes.

Prismaticite, a new type of erratic and extremely valuable ore, refines into different minerals at random, although by using reactions to reprocess the ore, you control the outcome.

PhasedFields (2)

New industrial and exploration ships expand strategic options, but danger lurks at every junction. The fight for resources fuels creation, destruction, connection, and conflict across the cluster.

Whether you rise to build or strike to destroy, every story begins with ore.

Pioneer: A New Mining Destroyer

Level up your industry game with the Pioneer, a perfect middle ground between a mining frigate and mining barges. Even brand new capsuleers can obtain this new mining destroyer after only a few hours in New Eden, and fly it as Alphas. There is even more to unlock for Omegas, too, so this vessel can scale as you realize your industrialist ambitions.

In all, there will be three versions of the Pioneer, including a Tech II version and a Consortium Issue variant.

Odysseus: Exploration Command Ship

Lead your fleet further afield with this new exploration command ship and conquer uncharted territory.

odysseus (1)

With new expedition command bursts and a massive new exploration hold, you can stay out longer, venture further, and carry more loot back home.

Mining Refined

Resource harvesting is getting more responsive, immersive, tactical, and rewarding than ever before.

Faster Mining Cycles

While total yield remains the same, faster mining cycles make the process more responsive and dynamic. Feel progress every second as your lasers tear through asteroids in shorter, more engaging bursts.

Mining Crits

Critical mining hits bring a thrill to every operation, offering a potential bonus yield on successful strikes from your mining lasers. All mining lasers have a chance for critical hits, but skills and modules can improve your odds.

Mining UI/UX Improvements

The mining interface has been reworked, with clear, real-time data and a cleaner presentation integrated into the space scene itself. New scanners will work faster and give you clear, color-coded readouts so you can quickly see which asteroids will be worth your while, and many more improvements have been made to the mining experience.

Highsec Mining Improved

Highsec mining has never looked better. New visual updates and the return of anomaly sites bring omber and kernite back to highsec. Complete them for a rare chance at highsec mining escalations or use your scan probes to discover hidden combat sites with valuable ore.

Mining Generic1

Mining Mutaplasmids

Mutate your mining modules and drones for potential bonuses. The new Mining Mutaplasmids introduce risk and reward to industry fittings, letting you push your yield and efficiency to unpredictable extremes.

A new way to see the stars.

A tactical, easy-to-read 2D map gives capsuleers the clarity they need for planning and exploration. It’s a long-requested feature that enhances both accessibility and strategic gameplay.

The new 2D view delivers improved system visualization, and clear jump ranges, offering precise navigation and sharper tactical insight directly in-game. It’s the map new pilots needed and veterans wanted (thanks for all the feedback!).

2d star map Screenshot NoCopy

Both 2D and 3D maps will feature ore availability indicators, enhanced data readability, and customizable scales, including logarithmic options, for greater clarity in every view.

Learn the Ropes with a New Epic Arc

Whether you’re warping into New Eden for the first time, or just want to explore everything the new expansion has to offer, a new accessible and brief epic arc has got you covered.

Explore and experience the new mining content through an introductory narrative journey, intended to test a new way to introduce expansion content. At the end, you will have a new Pioneer mining destroyer to launch your mining career.

This new arc will introduce the Catalyst expansion to pilots of all experience levels, and help new capsuleers set goals and discover some of the wonders of New Eden.

PLEX Logs

Monitor your PLEX-flow with new personal PLEX transaction logs, bringing transparency by showing where it comes from and how it’s spent. The first iteration will display entries for the last 30 days, with a cap of 2,000 entries, covering inflow and outflow.

plex

Carriers Forward

Carriers are receiving a buff to utility, a visual refresh, and a reduction in manufacturing cost. These are not drastic changes, but rather incremental adjustments so we can monitor the effects and work with capsuleers to refine their role in the ecosystem.

Get an Early Taste

You have an opportunity to see the new hyperspace fractures, rare asteroids, and more mining improvements in advance by jumping into a mass test on the Singularity test server from 17:00 –19:00 UTC on 23 October. Since it’s still in active development, this will not be fully representative of the final product, but primarily serve as a performance test. We do, however, welcome any feedback on design, balance, and user experience.

Check out this forum post for all the details on the mass test.

Catalyst Arrives 18 November

Prepare to dive into the heart of New Eden’s next great transformation. The rush begins soon, be ready to mine, fight, and rise.

Don’t Miss the Biggest Rewards!

Don’t Miss the Biggest Rewards!

Capsuleers,

The Crimson Harvest is raging, and the conflict between the Blood Raiders and the Order of St. Tetrimon shows no signs of slowing down.

The last day to begin logging in with a chance to claim the big Skill Point haul is 11 October, so make sure you don’t miss out. The day 24 haul gives Alphas 75,000 SP, and Omegas an additional 250,000 for a grand total of 325,000 SP. In total, the track awards 125,000 SP to Alphas, and 525,000 to Omegas, for a whopping 650,000 SP in all!

Capsuleers upgrading will also receive all previous Omega rewards retroactively from the beginning of the event.

Dev Chat: Crimson Harvest

Then, on 28 October, the conflict will intensify and the seasonal reward track will extend, with a crate featuring a Blood Raider ship blueprint dropping at the end, so start tackling the different sites available today. From familiar, returning combat and exploration sites, to new Biocybernetic Incident sites across all space – highsec, lowsec, nullsec, wormholes, and Pochven - there’s something for capsuleers of all experience levels.

Tetrimon Base and Crimson Gauntlet sites are now capable of triggering escalations across all normal space. When you defeat the Tetrimon Commander or Harvest Overseer enemies in those respective sites, be sure to check out the decloaked transmission relay structure for more loot, and destroy it for a chance to trigger the escalation sites. Also, don’t forget to check out any suspicious wrecks at these sites as any resulting encounter will bring even more riches!

New Deathglow Remnant SKINs in all their crimson glory are obtainable by logging in every day and through the seasonal reward track for completing event challenges, alongside other treasures including PLEX, Skill Points, SKINR components, and boosters.

As usual during the Crimson Harvest, PvP combat becomes just that bit more exciting, with 90% loot drop now live – but only outside highsec . In addition, pods continue to have a 50% implant drop rate. This adds even more risk and reward to the chaos.

2025.10.08.13.45.59

If you need help to tackle the many activities on offer during the Crimson Harvest, perhaps even moving on to the more challenging and lucrative sites, updated Community Fittings are now available.

If you’re looking for more help, capsuleers across New Eden have already put together excellent community guides and videos to get you through any stumbling blocks.

Gideon ZendikarD-sync.D-syncMy main focus for the CSM would be projection issues that lead to a stale meta in Sov Nullsec that have pushed nearly all medium non-bloc aligned groups out of Nullsec and have diminished the variety of content available to the average pilot.
Gustav MannfredRemember MumuitSummer of MumuitPlaying since 2009, I have expertise in many areas of the game, mostly PVE, but also some PVP focused. I have a lot of expertice in the Abyss and Proving Grounds, but also did FW and other stuff too. Strong focus on bringing back Proving Grounds.

Kshal AideronThe Ancients.F.U.N. Inc.I'm Kshal Aideron, founder of Eve Rookies and CEO of Wormlife. For CSM20 I'm running on "getting players to undock." I know it doesn't sound as flashy as some of the other candidates campaign but lets face it. If people didn't undock, we wouldn't have content. We'd ALL be in a station spinning ships. So lets see what we can do to support player experience, communities, and ensuring pilots have a reason to undock and fly.
Limited LiabilityOrganization of Skill Extracting CorporationsThe New Eden School of tradeI am campaigning on two issues. Wealth inequality is making it harder to have fun low stakes enagements The game could be doing a better job of realistically marketing itself to new players.

This past year CCP has been dedicated to many QoL changes, bugfixes, and fixing issues plaguing wormholes for the past decade. This unique area of space has more to offer the EVE Ecosystem. Let’s carry this momentum forward for an even more successful CSM 20.
Mike AzariahNoneThe ScopeEVE deserves a CSM that remembers where we’ve been—and where we can go. Representing the ALL the players, communicating with them as well as I can. Not just the people in my alliance. I would appreciate your vote.
MILINT ARC TrooperNonePator Tech SchoolI am applying for CSM to be a voice for a broader base of New Eden. The foundations of EVE Online are the Industrialists, Mining, Hauling, and Exploration Communities. These activities feed into the PVE and PVP sides of EVE Onlines overall ecosystem. I also would like to be a voice for more intuitive UI design and concepts, and also more clarified minimum requirements for playing EVE Online.
NeoShockerScary Wormhole PeopleThe Dark Space InitiativeHello! I am NeoShocker. I believe FW/insurgency is of great importance for Eve-Online’s player retention and for new players to participate for PvP. Running for CSM focusing on game balance, game mechanics, and QoL
Nikita LucianoGoonswarm FederationAscendanceMy goal in the CSM is to bring back EVE’s depth and living history. I want every event to become part of the game’s narrative, optimize production and trade, breathe life into forgotten mechanics, and restore the principle of “fair reward for risk,” making every victory truly meaningful
ntrosell2Death Legion of CapybarasUnstoppable legionI'm a Hispanic with many years of experience in EvE. Today's EvE isn't the same as it was five years ago, in terms of content, mechanics, and gameplay. I want to bring those changes to WH, where everyone in the community knows something more is needed. I want to support giving WH a distinct identity, with mechanics and tools that make it unique. Let it not be just the area where "there is no location or Gates."
OncepurePandemic HordeOur SanctumCurrently I believe that eve need some work in both High sec and Null sec. Null sec is beginning to be very hard to make isk with other capsuleers being competitive, also High sec is only good to those players that have made 10 years or more and needs a break. Wormhole space is bit balanced as Pochven.
Orion Sa-SoloMinmatar Fleet AllianceRattini TribeEVE and its pilots helped me through some of the toughest parts of my life. I want to give back by improving the game I love. I see room for more content and fresh objectives, and I’m committed to pushing for features that keep players engaged across every space.
Rose Allari ImaharaGoonswarm FederationGoonWaffeHi, I'm Rose. I'm looking to run for CSM on improving player experiences and improve some features that have needed a lot of love that have been ignored. From my time doing tournaments, talking EVE History, and doing large- and small-scale fleets, I want to improve the lives of the line member and new players.
Rots MijnwerkerOut of the Blue.Into the EtherThe overarching goal for me in CSM 20 would be the promotion of EVE online player base growth. I am passionate about new and small alliances, i feel having many groups across all walks of space promotes a healthy EVE fighting environment. I want to be apart of ensuring the player base feels they are getting their time’s worth by downloading eve online.
Sawdeth TerniusNoneBobVultI'm Sawdeth Ternius, running for CSM for the first time. My focus is on elevating Planetary Interaction, strengthening PvP motivation, and bringing ideas to FPS-style gameplay in New Eden. One Chance for One Universe.
StyxxD.A.R.K.Dark Shado23 years of continuous Eve experience which no any other candidate can match. I’ve done the wormhole life thing, High, Low, or Null sec space life with missions and null sec pvp and Mucho Eve experience is the key.
Sven BauerPandemic HordeHorde Vanguard.I’ve gained experience across all of K-Space—from clawing for Sov as part of a 10-man alliance to helping coordinate trillion-ISK Dread brawls in lowsec. I have successfully advocated for multiple balance and UI accessibility improvements that were implemented in-game.
Teddy ShiNoneScience and Trade InstituteI am running for CSM as I want to help improve the state of the game, I have experience in many distinct parts of space but most recently I have been flying in High-Sec as an industrialist.
The OzNonePecunia InfinitaIndependent markets and economy expert, running for a third CSM term. Proven track record with CCP and the community, host of The Oz Report, and founder of one of EVE’s largest Discords. Focused on a healthy economy, conflict, and EVE’s long-term future.
Theman JRGoonswarm FederationTritanium Industries and TechnologyIf I am chosen for CSM, I will work hard to help bridge the gap between the vision of CCP and the gamer(you). We all want to see the success of this game, and I hope to make a mark in making that happen.
ThePuce MooseWatch ThisStarline EnterprisesHi! I'm ThePuce Moose. I’ve been playing since 2008 and have lived many playstyles, Finally settling on Lowsec small/midgang PvP as Watch This alliance co-leader. My focus for CSM is on rejuvenating old, clunky gameplay systems and mixing up the meta with frequent & consistent balance updates.
Val AurorisThe Initiative.Aurora.Player since 2007, spent 8 years helping thousands of newbros pvp in 2 major alliances, INIT and Brave. Led a 200 man sig, co-founded one of the most active pvp corps on zkill today with 300 members. I've pvped in null, WH, lowsec. Solo and in small gang. I want to work with CCP to help make content more accessable for all, improve access to pvp for new players, and boost activity across the empty systems of new eden which I believe the game desparately needs - a new generation of players that were as enthralled with the game as I was in my teens.
Viola TerraSleeper ProtocolRedshift HorizonMy candidacy for CSM 20 centers on the New Players. With experience in wormhole, nullsec and highsec, I aim to improve the base for new players while still aiming to keep the complexity that makes EVE what we all love and play.
Wheezy1442L A Z E R H A W K SLazerhawksI am Wheezy1442 or Wheezy for short running for CSM for my first time this year. My Focus would be primarily on Wormhole space and Pochven. I’m running for CSM 20 to make the experience for all players old and new a more enjoyable one that leaves people engaged and happy.
yilifaerrInvidia Gloriae ComesYour Ex'sActive in the Chinese community, I bring the perspective of a new player, small-alliance leader, and fleet commander. I aim to represent voices often overlooked—Chinese-speaking players, smaller groups, and new pilots—and push for changes that make EVE more inclusive and sustainable.
youngpuke2Sedition.Jerkasaurus Wrecks Inc.Youngpuke2 is a current CSM member of EVE 19 focusing on eliminating barriers to content generation and supporting the voices of small to mid-scale alliances across New Eden. His experiences stem from being the alliance executor of Sedition, longstanding history in low-sec faction warfare, and being an active and vocal PVPer supporting a multitude of EVE Online communities.
Zintage EnakaGoonswarm FederationEchelon ResearchI am a current member of CSM19, Director and Cap FC for Goonswarm Federation, and have played Eve since 2015. My primary focuses are on ship balance, both subcap and capital, as well as general nullsec balance.

The CSM campaign season officially kicks off today, 10 October, and will run until voting ends on 10 November. This is your opportunity to get to know your potential representatives and understand their visions.

Each candidate has a dedicated forum thread on the EVE Online forums, outlining their campaign objectives. Many of our EVE Online partners and other content creators will also spotlight these campaigns, providing diverse perspectives on the candidates' messages.

As in previous years, CCP will host brief interviews with the candidates during this campaign period, live on CCPTV on 17-19 October. We’ll also share these interviews on YouTube, so you can hear from your favorite candidates even if you can’t catch the live broadcast.

The CSM is more than just a representation of player voices; it’s a powerful collaboration that shapes the future of New Eden. The strength of EVE has always resided at the intersection of our passionate players and talented developers. Together, we’ll continue to build a universe shaped by those who inhabit it—your voice, your ideas, your EVE.

Community Beat for 28 March

Welcome back, capsuleers!

We’re diving into another round-up of the amazing things happening across the EVE Online community—from high-stakes PvP and creative fits to real-life builds, in-game events & tournaments, awesome videos, and more. Let’s get into it.

Fit Happens

Fitting a ship in EVE can be one of the biggest hurdles when getting into new activities—but fear not! Renowned PvPer and content creator iBeast has assembled a brand-new collection of Community Fits covering a wide range of ships and roles.

fitting

Whether you’re just getting started with PvP, looking to run missions, go out exploring, dip your toe into FW, or need a solid foundation to customize from, these fits are designed to be accessible. Give them a try—and don’t forget to send your thanks (or your killmails) to iBeast!

Brick'd Out

We love it when capsuleer passion extends beyond the screen, and this one caught our eye: Kaiser Indrasil over on the EVE subreddit has designed an awesome LEGO Stratios. 4,500 bricks, hundreds of hours of design, and it shows! The proportions, detail, and clever touches bring one of EVE’s most iconic exploration ships to life.

We weren't the only ones floored. When Kaiser shared this everyone (us included!) wanted to bring this to life.

I will gather the parts and build it in 2 months tops, and - if there will be no major issues with the assembled set - the instructions themselves will take me another 2 months.

Once I've heard an opinion that instructions take even more time than design and at first I didn't believe it... and then I designed my first set (this one is second) AND IT'S ALL TRUE

We’ll be watching this project closely and can’t wait to see the final result!

NERDS Assemble!

If you haven’t tuned in yet, the first episode of our brand-new dev show—the New Eden Review Dev Show (NERDS)—is now live on YouTube, Podbean, and Spotify. Our second episode was streamed over on CCPTV this weekend with CCP Wanderer, CCP Lumi, and CCP Swift.

New Eden Review Dev Show

NERDS dives into the latest happenings in New Eden, complete with insights, conversations with devs, and the updates on all things EVE. Give it a listen, leave a comment, and let us know what you’d like to see in future episodes.

Speaking of podcasts, EVE's longest running community podcast - Declarations of War - hosted CCP Okami and CCP Kestrel this past weekend to chat about all things Revenant Major Update. If you're a podcast enjoyer, be sure to give it a listen as they discuss mining, projection, industry, ship balance, and more. Thanks for having us!

Video Corner

For those who enjoy elite-level gameplay, "Hiraeth" by Aquila is a must-watch. This beautifully edited video explores the return to high-end PvP, complete with small-gang tactics and the introspective reflections of a veteran player rediscovering the thrill of the hunt. It's astounding to see the planning and skill that goes into these kills!

Hireath

Looking for something a little more spontaneous? EVE Partner and streamer CrashNaps took a Drake into an ESS and walked away with an improbable victory. Facing down a Marshal, he made the right read, took the fight—and won. It's a great reminder that in New Eden, anything can happen.

Competitive Play

The Charity Cup is back this weekend, bringing explosions, expert commentary, and top-tier competitive play!

With smaller team sizes and designated roles—1 battleship, 1 battlecruiser, 1 cruiser, a logistics ship, a destroyer, and a frigate—each comp might look structurally similar, but the execution is anything but. From kiting and rush tactics to gunspam and control comps (yes, even a railgun Hyperion), restrictions are fueling some serious creativity.

There’s no shortage of teams to root for, including Alliance Tournament XX winners The Tuskers (competing as Lazy Piglets) and newer contenders like the Blahajideen Freedom Fighters (BFFs). Catch the action live on CCPTV starting at 17:00 UTC this weekend!

Frigate Free For All

Glorious chaos returns—Frigate Free For All is back on Saturday, March 29, in Amamake!

2025FFABanner1400

Undock, die, re-ship, repeat. With 10,000 ships available for anyone, it’s one of the biggest and most explosive brawls of the year. Whether you’re padding your killboard, losing ships left and right, picking up loot, or just soaking in the action, it’s the perfect way to embrace the spirit of New Eden.

Several EVE Partners will be streaming the event, and you might even snag a corpse from your favorite CCP dev. Join the fray from 16:00 to 22:00 UTC!

That’s it for this edition of the Community Beat. There’s always more happening across New Eden than we can fit in one post, so keep sharing your stories, videos, events, and creations—we’ll see you next time!
